Thank you for using the BASEKX Event Contract Service. To protect users’ legitimate rights and interests and clarify the rules relating to the Event Contract Service, please carefully read and fully understand this Agreement before participating in any transactions.
When you confirm through the page, submit an Event Contract order, or otherwise actually use the relevant services, you are deemed to have understood and accepted the contents of this Agreement. If you cannot accept any of the terms of this Agreement, please stop using the Event Contract Service.
I. Service Description
This Agreement applies to users’ use of the Event Contract function through the BASEKX platform and participation in related transactions.
An Event Contract is a trading product based on determining the price direction of a specified crypto asset at a specified point in the future. Users select a corresponding direction based on their own judgment and obtain the corresponding result in accordance with the trading and settlement rules preset by the platform.
The underlying assets, trading periods, trading amounts, and other product parameters supported by BASEKX Event Contracts are subject to the services actually provided by the platform.
For matters not separately specified in this Agreement, users must continue to comply with the BASEKX User Agreement, trading rules, risk control rules, and other relevant provisions issued by the platform for specific products.
II. Product and Trading Rules
- Basic Trading Method
Event Contracts use USDT as the trading and settlement unit. Users may select the corresponding underlying asset, expiry time, trading amount, and price direction from among the trading products currently made available by the platform.
Currently, the price directions include [Up] and [Down]. After the contract expires, the system will determine the final result according to the applicable rules based on the change between the price index at the time of opening the position and the price index at expiration.
- Order Confirmation
Before submitting an order, the trading page will display the main information for that order, including the contract amount, estimated return, payout ratio, and expiry time.
After the user confirms and successfully submits an order, the order officially takes effect. Unless otherwise provided by the platform rules, an effective order cannot be modified, cancelled, or ended early, and must await automatic settlement by the system after the corresponding contract expires.
Therefore, before confirming an order, users should independently verify the trading direction, trading amount, expiry time, and relevant return information.
- Contract Amount and Returns
When participating in a single Event Contract transaction, users only need to pay the contract amount corresponding to the order amount. No additional margin is required under the traditional contract trading model, and there are no forced liquidation fees arising from the order.
The contract amount for the transaction is the maximum amount the user may lose in that transaction.
When the direction selected by the user is consistent with the final price movement, the platform will settle the transaction according to the payout ratio or estimated return displayed on the page at the time the order was placed; if the prediction does not match the actual price movement, the contract amount corresponding to the order may be lost in full.
- Product Parameters
BASEKX may adjust the trading products, expiry periods, payout ratios, estimated returns, trading amounts, and other parameters of Event Contracts based on market conditions, product operations, and risk management.
The specific tradable products and real-time parameters are subject to the information displayed on the BASEKX trading page.
III. Trading Limits and Risk Control
To control trading risks and ensure the normal operation of the platform, BASEKX will impose corresponding restrictions on Event Contract transactions.
- When participating in Event Contract transactions, users must comply with the platform’s requirements regarding the amount of a single transaction, cumulative trading limits, the number of unsettled orders, loss limits, and other risk control measures.
- A maximum limit applies to the cumulative order amount over the most recent 24 hours, and once the user’s cumulative order amount during any consecutive 24-hour period reaches that limit, the user will be unable to submit new Event Contract orders.
- “Most recent 24 hours” as used herein is calculated on a rolling basis: the time at which the user submits the current order is used as the calculation point, and the preceding consecutive 24 hours are calculated. It is not calculated by calendar day.
- The same user may have a maximum of 6 orders for Event Contracts that have not yet expired and have not completed settlement at the same time. Once this number is reached, the user must wait for existing orders to complete settlement before submitting new orders.
- In addition to the above restrictions, BASEKX may further restrict the trading limits, trading permissions, or order submissions of relevant accounts based on the user’s risk profile, the degree of market volatility, system security, compliance requirements, and platform operational needs.
IV. Platform Service Management
To ensure the normal operation of the Event Contract Service, BASEKX may manage and adjust the relevant services based on actual circumstances.
The platform reserves the right to adjust the trading products, product parameters, trading periods, payout ratios, trading limits, and other rules for Event Contracts based on market changes, product operations, risk management requirements, and other factors.
In the event of abnormal market volatility, system maintenance, liquidity risks, compliance requirements, or other necessary circumstances, BASEKX may take measures such as suspending trading, restricting trading, adjusting the scope of services, or terminating certain Event Contracts.
For orders involving abnormal trading, violations, high risks, or non-compliance with platform rules, BASEKX may reject, cancel, or restrict such orders in accordance with the relevant rules.
If transactions or settlement cannot proceed according to the normal process due to system upgrades, network failures, third-party service abnormalities, extreme market conditions, force majeure, or other factors beyond the platform’s reasonable control, BASEKX may take measures such as delaying settlement, suspending trading, or handling abnormal orders based on the actual circumstances.
V. User Responsibilities
When using the Event Contract Service, users must ensure that their accounts are in normal status and that they have sufficient USDT in their accounts to pay the contract amounts for the relevant orders.
Users should independently decide whether to participate in trading after fully understanding the Event Contract product mechanism, return structure, and potential risks, and are responsible for the orders they submit and the final trading results.
Users shall bear losses caused by their own judgment, operational errors, improper account management, market changes, or other reasons attributable to themselves.
Users must not use the Event Contract Service to engage in illegal or non-compliant activities, or obtain benefits through malicious arbitrage, market manipulation, disruption of the platform’s trading order, exploitation of system vulnerabilities, or other improper means.
Users must also properly manage their account passwords, login credentials, verification information, and related devices. Users shall bear any liability arising from the use of their accounts by others, incorrect operations, or asset losses caused by reasons attributable to the users themselves.
VI. Risks and Important Information
Event Contracts involve significant trading risks. Crypto asset prices may change substantially within a short period. If a user incorrectly predicts the price direction, the user may lose the entire contract amount for that transaction.
Users should pay particular attention to the following risks:
1. Market Price Risk
The final result of an Event Contract is related to the price index of the underlying asset. Crypto asset prices may be affected by various factors, including the macroeconomic environment, market liquidity, policy environment, unexpected events, and market sentiment, and may fluctuate significantly over a short period.
Past market performance cannot guarantee future price movements, and BASEKX makes no commitment regarding any trading result or return.
2. Risk of Loss of Funds
Although Event Contracts do not require additional margin, this does not mean that trading is risk-free. The contract amount for a single order is the maximum amount that may be lost in that transaction. If a user makes incorrect predictions consecutively, substantial losses may arise within a short period.
Users should reasonably control their trading amounts based on their actual circumstances and should not use funds beyond their ability to bear losses to participate in trading.
3. System and Data Risks
Network delays, system failures, device abnormalities, third-party service abnormalities, or delays in market data may affect order submission, price display, trading confirmation, or final settlement.
BASEKX will continue to maintain the stability of the platform’s operation within a reasonable scope, but the platform shall not be liable for compensation for relevant losses not caused by BASEKX’s intent or gross negligence.
4. User’s Independent Decision-Making
All Event Contract transactions are decided independently by users. BASEKX does not provide investment advice regarding specific trading directions, guarantee fixed returns, or provide principal protection.
Users should independently understand the product rules before participating in trading and make decisions based on their own risk tolerance.
5. Risk Control Recommendations
BASEKX recommends that users, when participating in Event Contract transactions:
- Allocate trading funds reasonably according to their risk tolerance;
- Control the amount of each transaction and the overall trading frequency;
- Carefully confirm the underlying asset, price direction, expiry time, and relevant return information before trading;
- Fully understand the trading and settlement methods for Event Contracts;
- Trade cautiously when the market experiences significant volatility or when the price direction cannot be reasonably determined;
- Seek investment or risk management advice from independent professionals where necessary.
VII. Amendments to the Agreement and Other Matters
BASEKX may amend or update this Agreement based on product changes, platform operations, risk control needs, and the requirements of relevant laws, regulations, or rules.
After the contents of this Agreement have been adjusted, BASEKX will publish the changes through the relevant pages of the platform. After the updated Agreement takes effect, a user’s continued use of the Event Contract Service will be deemed acceptance of the amended Agreement.
If a user does not agree to the relevant amendments, the user should stop using the Event Contract Service.
This Agreement, together with the BASEKX User Agreement, risk disclosures, and other platform rules, constitutes the relevant rules governing the Event Contract Service. If there is any difference between the contents of different rules relating to the Event Contract Service, this Agreement and the rules published on the specific Event Contract page shall prevail.
If this Agreement is provided in multiple language versions, the versions in other languages are provided solely for the convenience of users. If there is any difference or ambiguity in interpretation between different language versions, the English version shall prevail.
To the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations, BASEKX reserves the right of final interpretation of this Agreement.
